For the first time in more than 50 years, astronauts are on their way to the moon.

The Artemis II crew will travel farther from Earth than any astronauts before them.

Over the next few hours, the spacecraft is going to arc around the moon’s far side — sometimes called the “dark side” because it never faces us on Earth.
